We collect information you give us directly, such as:

• Your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number and country
• The recipient's name, delivery address, phone number and any gift message or occasion date
• Payment details, processed securely by our payment provider — we never store full card numbers
• Anything you send us via the contact form, reminders, reviews, or customer support chat

We also automatically collect some technical information, such as your device type, browser, approximate location (country/currency), and how you interact with the site, via cookies — see our Cookie Policy for details.

• To process, prepare and deliver your order, and send WhatsApp/email updates and delivery photo proof
• To provide customer support and respond to enquiries
• To send optional occasion reminders you've asked us to save
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• To improve our catalog, pricing and site experience
• To send marketing updates, only where you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time

We share the minimum information necessary with:

• Local bakeries, florists and delivery riders fulfilling your order (recipient name, address and phone)
• Payment processors, to securely handle your transaction
• WhatsApp Business / email providers, to send order and delivery updates
• Service providers who help us run the site (hosting, analytics), under confidentiality obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Because many of our customers order from outside Pakistan, your information may be transferred to and processed in Pakistan and other countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to make sure it's handled securely wherever it's processed.

We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes, after which it's deleted or anonymized. Saved occasion reminders are kept until you delete them or ask us to.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages, at any time by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, though we may need to keep certain order records to meet legal obligations.

Gift Culture is intended for use by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children, though a child may of course be the recipient of a gift ordered by an adult.

We may update this policy as our service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may also be communicated by email.
